EXCITING NEWS FOR TRAVEL

With 2016 on our doorsteps, the travel industry has spread its broad wings for another year of great success. The outlook is positive for travel partners, airlines, hospitality and tourism entities as well as destinations.
  • 2016 - The Year of Experience - based on report for "Travel Research online".  People are looking to compare notes on experiences they had on some awesome adventure. Dining with a family in a local community and getting to know the culture offer much thrill. Visiting a small farm in the countryside and working side by side with a small farmer in the heat of the sun is much more rewarding. Lunch is an additional delight as the community people come together to sample the local faire.

In the cool of the late afternoon, a game of cricket which is foreign to many, gets the adrenalin going. No day would be complete without stopping at the local bar where men and women gather to relate various tales.

  • 2016 - A time to give back - Many persons whether corporately or individually travel with a plan to lend a hand or give to the less fortunate. They find joy in visiting a school in a remote area to share with children whose smiles beam brightly. All in all, the prognosis is great and travel will increase be it Baby Boomers or Millennials. The team at Glamour DMC is ready to do the extraordinary bit.
HIGHLIGHTS FROM JAMAICA
BOUTIQUE RESORTS ON ISLAND

The newly refurbished and re-branded boutique hotel -
The Cliff Negril
threw open its door at the start of the winter season. Small hotel guru, Mary Phillips formerly of Jamaica Inn did an amazing job of converting the Moon Dance Hotel into a 5 star luxury resort. Every room has a view of the Caribbean Sea from the cliff which is magical; the service is unparalleled. Dining at The Cliff is a culinary journey of Jamaica's finest with Chef Cindy Hutson of Cindy Hutson Cuisine.

Golden Eye of Ian Fleming and Chris Blackwell fame added twenty four new and rustic villas. One of the things that makes coming to Golden Eye such an extraordinary experience, is the community of Oracabessa with a vibe and energy all of its own.  We hope you'll take some time to visit the local shops and meet some of the local residents that give Oracabessa its unique character.

THE CULINARY JOURNEY

Stush in the Bush- Located in the hilly terrains of the garden Parish of St. Ann, Jamaica - this experience must be on the bucket list of all desiring an experience of a lifetime. It is a love story. It is the combination of Rastafari and Chic. It is the blending of Ital farming and exotic vegetables. It is the love of mother nature and the love of fine dining. It is rustic and it is gourmet. It is "Sexy Vegetarianism." It is the first and the last ingredient on every bottle, in every meal, in all we do... love and affection. It is Lisa and Chris.

Sister Lou River Stop - In the quaint small town of Black River on the south coast and a boat hop from main street . It is an adventure by boat and a greater experience at this remote stop for Sister Lou's Crab Back and a cold Red Stripe Beer. The trip cannot be complete without visiting Floyd's Pelican Bar for complete refreshment.
JAMAICA ADVENTURES

Jamwest Adventure Park is a complete experience - Located in the quiet community of Old Hope, a twenty minutes ride from the centre of Negril is this seven hundred acre estate. Walking trails present nature at its best with lakes, natural springs and trees of all types. Get ready for Roots ATV, Reggae Zipline and Rock Safari. Test-drive your own RX8 Mazda on Jamwest Raceway. Complete the day at Salmon Point as fisherfolks haul in their catch.

Ahhh...Ras Natango Gallery and Garden is a nature lover's paradise, encompassing botanical gardens, themed fantasy gardens and other natural wonders. Here, one can experience the panoramic view of the city of Montego from the hills of Camrose. The gallery showcases the works of Ras Natango, his son Ayale, and local artist, Cney. The art depicts Jamaican history, culture, flora, and fauna. Spend a day with the artists and become one yourself...that's an experience.
