Glamour Luxury Destination Concierge celebrates thirty five Years of destination management services

In 1987, two partners armed with a bold idea and two personal motorcars , took a step of faith and threw open their office doors to launch Jamaica’s first Destination Management Company.

As Glamour celebrates its thirty fifth year in business, the emphasis continues to be on  remaining creative and responsive to the changing dynamics of the travel trade particularly in a metaverse space. Having recently embarked on a complete rebranding programme, the Directors have reverted to the ethos on which the company was built, a full-service destination management company reflecting global standards. “It is critical that we respond to the requirements of travel partners, planners and clients to deliver with excellence and creativity” stated Rachel Anderson, Chief Executive Officer.

With the impact of the global pandemic COVID-19 and the shutdown of the Tourism industry, the two Directors had to take a decision for survival. Much time was spent on deliberation and developing Products for the marketplace in response to a new normal. Over the past months, our Site Selection division was launched based on demand from our global partners and has been met with tremendous acceptance. Our CEO, who believes firmly in diversification, declared with much excitement,  “ Our Virtual Site Inspection division has been tested and ready for take off in a world where digitization takes centre stage as a true blue DMC is seen as an extension of international travel partners”. 

Glamour Concierge has been reorganized to handle the demands of of our discerning individual travelers, who desire special pampering and attention attention to details. With an in-depth knowledge of the island and personal relationship with hotels, vendors and attractions, there is a seamless delivery of services in a speedy manner.  Airport and inter hotel transfers, tours, spa, dinner and golf reservations are but a few of services provided. Our team can be depended on to find those hard to get accommodations for our clients and travel partners.

For our celebration, much emphasis is being placed on strengthening our Corporate Social Responsibility Programme to lend support to the financially and emotionally challenged individuals and institutions. Over twenty five years ago “Partnership with a Mission” was launched with special emphasis on Education and the environment. Many students have benefited through financial support and institutions received assistance for their physical plants. “ Our clients, corporations, travel, meetings and incentive partners have thrown their support behind this worthy cause. Now more than ever, we must make every effort to lend a hand or bring a word of encouragement”, stated our CEO. High on the agenda for its thirty fifth anniversary is the procurement of IT equipment and the setting up of greenhouses for schools.
